What is this type of brush used for?

Hi, I have a question about a brush. I recently came across my mom's old brushes she bought way back when she was in her 20's, which are Shu Uemura brushes. They are in pretty good shape, but some of her brushes are discontinued but I would like to use them anyhow. The brush I want to "identify" is a circular shape, short, and stiff. It's a natural hair brush, and the number is 7.5BL. My mom was iffy on what the brush was used for, but she said that it was for highlighting or using eyeshadows around the eye & brow bone. Does anyone have a clue what this brush is used for? Thank you.

it sounds like a crease brush. Or what your mom said:) usually brushes are labeled to have a certain use, but are always used differently. The stiffness is good for contouring eyeshadow, like in the crease or outer corners.
