Red Makeup
For people that have very sensitive skin, it's very important that they don't use products that contain any sort of fragrance since that will cause the skin to be severely irritated. Other products to avoid are those containg formaldehyde and quaternium 15.
Many make-up products contain carcinogens (will cause cancer). To reduce your risk of cancer, avoid products that contain Dea, TEA, BHA and formaldehyde. Also avoid brands containing D&C red 33, FD&C Yellow 5 and Yellow 6, and other artificial colors.
If you use concealers and you have sensitive skin, make sure you don't use products that contain lanolin alcohol or lanolin oil. It's also important not to purchase products with imidazolidinyl urea and propylene glycol since these are the two most irritating ingredients. Make sure there are no parabens since it is very likely to cause allergies or irritation.
Do you enjoy using foundation? If so, make sure you select the brand you use very carefully since many of the foundations that are sold in local stores have ingredients that cause contact dermatitis, which means your skin will get very irritated. Brands that contain 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1, 3-diol or quaternium 15 are very likely to expose you to formaldehyde, a problem ingredient for many people. If you have highly sensitive skin, make sure you pass on foundations that contain some sort of fragrance and propylene glycol since both can sting.
Foundations many times cause what is called "cosmetic acne", which is basically very small pimples that occur intermittently. Many women in their twenties through their fifties suffer from this cosmetic acne and it is basically the result of ingredients in the foundation that are acnegenic. If you have this problem, make sure you look for a foundation that doesn't contain the following ingredients: Butyl stearate, Cocoa butter, Corn oil, Isopropyl myristate, lauryl alcohol, Linseed oil, margarine, Methyl oleate, Mineral oil, Oleic acid, Olive oil, Peanut oil, Petrolatum, Safflower oil, Sesame oil or Stearic aid.
When you use makeup, it's important to use a brand that contains sunscreen. However, not all sunscreen is created equal. Look for a product that contains Titanium dioxide, since this is a very safe and effective sunblock. This sunblock will shield your face from both the UVA and the UVB rays; it's also less allergenic and irritating.
Masacara is one of those cosmetics that cause the most eye problems, so try not to use it often. If you do use mascara, make sure you don't scratch your eyeball with the applicator since that increases the chance of bacterial infection. Also, beware of products that contain quaternium 15, which is a direct eye irritant. Another ingredient to watch out for is phenylmercuric acetate, which is both an allergen and an eye irritant. It should never be used around the eyes.
Here are some tips when using mascara: never use it if your eyes are irritated, injured, infected or scratched. Never add anything to mascara, not even tap water. Store in the refrigerator, which helps reduce bacterial contamination. Do not keep mascara around for more than four months since it's very likely to break down and contain bacteria that will irritate your eyes. Never apply eye-makeup right after painting your nails or removing the nail polish since the ingredients in these two products can be irritating to the eyes.
As far as lipsticks, glosses and lip pencils go, make sure you look for ones that don't contain the following ingredients: castor oil, pigments, propyl gallate, ricinoleic acid, yellow 11, Orange 5, Red 21, and Red 27. Most of the colors used in lipstick are coal tar color and these are not safe, so make sure you use lipsticks that contain NO ARTIFICIAL COLORS or lanolin. Make sure you dont' use hot reds or bright oranges, since these colors can't be produced from natural color pigments.
As you can see, many ingredients in foundations, concelears, powders, eye-makeup, and lipsticks and glosses are very irritant to the skin and can also cause cancer. Make sure you use brands that have natural ingredients so that won't happen to you. Afterall, you wear this makeup all day and it's being absorbed through your skin. Your beauty is reflected largely in your face, so take good care of it always. Use brands like Bare Essentials, Nicole Miller (sold by Melaleuca), and Arbonne. I represent Melaleuca and definitely recommend Nicole Miller products, but I know the other two brands are also good - it's your choice. I just ask that your choose wisely - choose products that nourish your skin and don't irritate them or, even worse, cause skin cancer.

What makeup would look good with a RED sweater?
I have this red sweater that I bought, and whenever I wear it my normal makeup routine (black eyeliner & mascara) looks weird with it. Any suggestions? I have brown eyes and brown hair by the way.
Well, sometimes it's just good to go natural. Only like bronzer and browns. Just light so you can barely see it. Or no makeup at all. Just try to hold off on the mascara and eyeliner. Or try browns if you use blacks, brown mascara is hardly noticable.
