All females and men generally will like to take good care of their skin. For effective skin care there are creams and skin care products manufactured by companies all over the world.     

These creams have a lot of chemicals and enzymes contianed in them to make sure that the essential ingredients reach the skin and the skin remains healthy. These products have a lot of side effects primarily from the fact that these skin care products have chemicals which may cause a lot of skin burns, rashes or irritation.     

To avoid that a lot of companies have come up with the basic natural minerals in the powder form. These minerals are crushed and they are then put in bottles in the powder form. This powder is then applied by people with kabuki brushes.     

The powder can be messy especially so if you are travelling. Powder has all the chances of spilling all over and even spoiling your dress. That is why the skin care companies have now come up with the pressed form of the mineral makeup. In this pressed form the minerals are bound together using as a binding agent such as Shea butter. This binding agent helps in making the powdery substance into a cream or a liquid.     

This helps as then you do not have any worry about the spillage of the powder and even the application on the face is easy. The best part of the pressed mineral makeup is that it is all natural and there are no chemical additives which can cause harm to your skin.

How do you treat allergies to mineral makeup?

I tested some of Everyday Mineral's tinted silk finishing powder, intensive light concealer, and golden light matte foundation on my friend and her face became red, and broke out in small rashes. I have never seen this reaction in anyone before using mineral makeup. The combined ingredients were: pure silk powder, titanium oxide, zinc oxide, iron oxide, black currant powder, and ultramarine blue.

Allergies are unique and specific to every person. Any one of those ingredients could of caused the reaction. What your friend is experiencing is a topical allergic reaction...which basically means the allergy is caused by something placed on the skin, not something taken internally. Clean the skin with a gentle non-fragranced cleanser. Swipe witch hazel over the skin. Keep the skin clean for 24 hours. If there is still a reaction, see a dermatologist or GP who will most likely give you a cortisone-derived cream treatment. Good luck.
