Makeup King
With the passing of Michael Jackson, there will be plenty of tributes to the King of Pop this Halloween and beyond. For the adult who is invited to Halloween parties this year, and would like to show his support and admiration, there are many versions to choose from. Perhaps, one of the most popular of all is the Beat It Video look, one of Michael's many chameleon-like changes from soft and almost overly sensitive, to a slightly rougher edged, guitar driven superstar. Beat it was a musical breakthrough for Jackson and the video changed his image as well.
This costume starts with clothing from your own wardrobe include black pants, black shoes and a white shirt. To it, you add the costume quality jacket and other purchased accessories. The jacket is faux red/crimson leather with the same authentic details as the original including multiple zipper details around the waist, on the chest and on the detachable sleeves as well. The jacket is capped off with a shimmering silver embellishment on the shoulder. This faux leather jacket comes in adult sizes, Medium and Large.
The shoes should be black dress shoes if possible, but plain black sneakers would work in a pinch as well (There are Michael Jackson loafers to complement this costume as well).
Consider what your activities are going to be for the day, as well as what the weather is going to be before you finalize your shoe choices.
If you would like additional accessories, then there are many ways to complete the Michael Jackson look. Add in the wig, makeup, and optional black glasses to make the look true MJ at what was possibly his finest moments.
There are other uses that you could use the MJ Beat It costume jacket for as well, including MJ theme parties where everyone dresses up in tribute to the King of Pop. It could also be saved for next year because when you are the King of Pop, one year of dominating the Halloween hoopla is just never enough.

King Tut's haplotype?
I heard Zahi Hawas is going to announce the results of some DNA tests done on King Tut and his family tomorrow. So my question is;
Are they going to also announce what haplogroup Tut and family are in? Or are they just going to say rather or not he is the son of Akhenten (not sure the spelling)? I'm so curious to know his haplotype, it will say a lot about the origins of the Egyptian royalty at the time. I do realize though your haplotype is only a tiny portion of your ethnic makeup. Anyone else out there as curious as me?
I suspect that the Haplogroup will not be announced if the lineage of Tut is African, because Hawass is on record in vehemently denying that Tut or other Pharaohs were African. He said that when no DNA tests had been conducted and, may now be embarrassed if his prediction turns out to be incorrect. He has been saying that the Pharaohs were Egyptian, whatever that means in population genetics. In fact, I thought in yesterday's announcement, (which was, intriguingly, premature) they did not announce the Y-DNA or mtDNA Haplogroup which seems to indicate that something is amiss. It will leak out anyway, but maybe Hawass is buying time for a good PR job.
