Kabuki Powder

So you want to go out and it's a Saturday night and your date calls you and tells you he'll be there in fifteen minutes leaving you with little less than 10 minutes to get dressed and put on your makeup. 1. Start off your makeup session with mineral foundation. Use a kabuki brush with a "tap and swirl" motion to apply your foundation evenly and to get good coverage. Don't overload your brush with minerals; use a feathery motion to avoid any caking.

2. If your skin is mature or dry, dab on a bit of moisturizer or you can consider mixing your moisturizer with your mineral foundation and applying it in one tap and swirl motion. This might be a better option as you get the benefits of your all-natural minerals and also those of your favorite daily moisturizer.

3. There is no need for you to use concealer if you have used the foundation or vice-versa. If your skin is blemish-free or even-toned, you can just skip both and wear an oil-absorbing mineral powder to control the oil.

4. Start adding some color onto your face with mineral blush on your lips and cheeks. Add on a clear lip-gloss and then rub in some mineral powder blush onto the lips to smooth out the color. Use the same blush on your cheeks, working out and upwards with a blusher brush. Use a bronzer instead of a blush if you want a sun kissed or bronzed look.

5. Apply mineral eye shadow onto your eyes with an eye shadow bush. Since you are in a hurry, go for a matte or light-colored eye shadow as you are less likely to mess it up.

6. Finally ad a bit of mascara onto your lashes and you are ready for the night. The best thing about mineral makeup is that even if you forget your makeup kit at home don't worry - you won't have to touch up.

What's the best brush for loose powder?

I'm buying the Smashbox Halo perfecting powder and from what I've read people hate the mini kabuki that comes with it.

Get a Bare Minerals kabuki. They work sooo well, I have all of my friends addicted to them. They give you they perfect coverage and I have never had one that "sheds" all of the time. lol I hope this helps.

Edit: About MisterKa... answer. Believe me it's not scatchy at all. I have extreamly sensitive skin (i have rosacea) and most brushes hurt like hell when they touch my face, I have never had that problem with bare minerals and I own 6 of their brush's. You can go into any store that carrys bare minerals and feel the brushes for yourself they are so soft. I love them. I'm not trying to pick a fight here, I just thought that I would add that about my skin.
