Eye Defining
Generally speaking, only a few people can claim that they have a 20/20 vision. When we speak about 20/20 vision, this would refer to the visual acuity of a person. This would refer to the clarity of the vision and the ability of the retina on focusing. The brain plays an important role in this ability of the eyes and helps in defining the object that you are viewing.
One of the most common complaints when it comes to eye problems would be eye itching. If you are experiencing eye itchiness, most probably, you are also experiencing redness. The tendency is to scratch the eyes and because you want to relieve yourself from the burning sensation that you are experiencing. However, itching is common only during outdoors. If you are experiencing eye itchiness while you are inside your home, then most likely, you are experiencing underlying medical problems such as diabetes. Aside from that, you may also be experiencing allergic reactions from the medications that you are taking when you are experiencing eye itchiness.
Another type of eye problem that people are experiencing would be dryness. With eye dryness, production of liquid that lubricates the eyes is insufficient. Dry eyes can be the result of improper wearing or wearing of wrong contact lenses or contact lenses solution. Again, diabetes can also cause eye dryness.
Aside from itchiness and dryness, another common eye problem would be conjunctivitis, wherein a portion of the eye is inflamed. In conjunctivitis, the eyes are red, itchy, and teary. There are a lot of triggers to conjunctivitis but the most common would be dust mites, molds, and even pet furs. Stye is also a common eye problem. Stye can swell and can cause some pains to the patient. Aside from that, a person with a stye can have blinking problems because of the pain when they are blinking. Increased sensitivity to light is also a symptom of stye.
