i want to wear a neutral eye shadow, how should i put it on?

i want something neutral and not too bright like some other girls at my school wear it. any tips on how i should do it, like blending darker and lighter kind of thing (my sisters have bare escentuals, thats what kind of foundation i have, so i was thinking of getting bare escentuals)

get a palette of three neutral colors (a light, medium and dark) use the medium or base color all across eyelid going up to the edge of the bottom of your eyebrow. Next put a streak of the darkest color just above the crease of your eye and sweep it to the outer edge. With your finger blend the lightest color at the very top of your eyelid just under your eyebrow and not extending too far down. And VOILA! you have a neutral looking yet enhancing eyeshadow.
