Cocoa Chocolate Cookies
Chocolate has always been associated with a variety of health problems. This is the reason why some people steer clear of this delicious treat. But now, there is good news for chocolate lovers. Chocolate, specifically organic chocolate, has been proved to offer many health benefits.
Organic chocolate is made from high-quality organic ingredients. It meets or exceeds all standards of qualification that classify it as an organic product. When a chocolate is labeled organic, it means that the product's cacao content was farmed in an environmentally suitable way. This ensures that there are no harmful pesticide residues.
One of the main reasons why you should eat organic chocolate instead of its non-organic counterpart is because you minimize the risk of ingesting pesticide residues. While non-organic chocolate itself is fine to eat, there can be pesticide residue present in the cocoa powder used, which can have harmful effects on the body. some quick and simple chocolate cookies?
I want to make some gooey chocolate or sugar cookies. I only have cocoa powder. I don't have cream cheese or cream of tartar, but i have other basic ingredients! thx a lot!
MARILYN'S MARVELOUS MAGIC SUGAR
COOKIES
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 med. eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. evaporated milk
2/3 c. butter
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Cream sugar, butter and eggs together until light. Add vanilla, milk and sifted ingredients. Mix well. Chill dough. Reserve 1/2 cup for decorating and then roll out 1/8 inch thick. Dough may be stored in refrigerator as long as 2 weeks before use.
Cut out cookies, decorate with colored decorating dough and bake on lightly greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. If you are making several sheets of cookies, cover each sheet with plastic wrap until you decorate them so they will not dry out. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
DECORATING DOUGH:
1/2 c. cookie dough (unchilled)
Paste or powdered food color
1 tbsp. water
