Brush Eye Defining
Since the inception of the contact lenses, there have been a lot of myths that have come around, some of them true and some of them are as ridiculous as they sound. Some of these myths have been the reason why a lot of people still are wary of the use of this optical device. Let us look at some of these myths and get to know the truth or little truth that they have.
That They Get Stuck
There is a misconception from some of the few people who have their eyes still untouched by this piece of optical plastic, that the lenses will get stuck in their eyes. The concave part of the lenses, as they have imagined will create this sort of vacuum and when one gets in touch with the cornea it will ply itself intensively.
This myth is very much unfounded because contact lenses are lubricated with a special fluid that allow it to conveniently stay in put in front of the cornea, but will easily be taken out as one wishes.
Causes blindness
Another thing that have circulated in the consciousness of the populace is that contact lenses can cause blindness. This is the result of notion that contact lenses restrict the eyes to breathe thus straining it. Other reasons comes with the idea that the rubbing of synthetic lenses against the delicate nerve endings will create trauma to the eyes.
Indeed there are conditions that can come up as a result of wearing contact lenses, but this conditions are not as much as hazardous that it can cause blindness. These conditions however, can be corrected and treated with the help of the friendly eye doctor.
Pops out of the eye
There is also the myth of contact popping out of the eye and which can result to stepping on it, or breaking it. This of course has something to do with the lenses that were made from glass tubes, which have been discarded from use in the orbital circuit a long time ago. With today's polyethylene based lenses, they will sure hold their ground in your eyes as long as you want them there.
Expensive
Perhaps this is the most popular contact lens myth of all, which has been true, in the early part of the existence of contact lenses. Since the early lenses were made of class tube, only the lavishly rich could afford such an eye candy. But with the developments that happened in the 20th century, contact lenses became more convenient and more affordable. The polyethylene based lenses have all of these to thank for, that is why contact lenses have lower prices than your typical correctional eyeglasses.

Does Anyone know how to apply mascara to the eyelashes w/o the extra hassle of chunky nasty eyelashes?
I have all the mascaras possible the define lash, the comb, and the biggest brush etc. to make my eyelashes look nice ,chunky less, and volumed etc., but the only problem is is that i apply a new opened bottle and the masacra comes out chunky and gross on my eyes. I look like I have the braided eyelashes together not nice individual ones i hate it =( PLEASE HELP ME !!
The professional make-up artists all swear by plain ol' Great Lash (pink tube with green lid). Personally, my current favorite is Volume Exact by Cover Girl. The special brush really helps cut down on spider lashes. I've tried 'em all. Had some good results with Voluminous by Loreal, too. Cover Girl Triple Aquastay was great, but it's been disconituned, I think. Like all good things!
You might have better luck with mascaras formulated for lash definition than volumizing, I don't know. Seems like that would be what they're made for, defining the lashes and keeping them separated.
The trick, in my opinion, is not so much what you use, but how you apply it! As you've noticed, when you open a new tube, way too much comes out on the brush, and glops on your lashes. First shake your tube before opening, do not "pump" the wand in and out, that forces air (and possibly bacteria) into the tube, shortening it's life span. Wipe the wand lightly on a clean tissue to remove clumps and excess macara, then brush through your lashes, slightly wiggling the wand from side to side as you go. I only use the eyelash comb if I still get the occasional stray clump, after the mascara has dried. Use it while it's still wet, I guarantee they'll all stick together! You can apply a second coat if you need to, just wait for the first coat to dry thoroughly, or they can get stuck together when you apply the second coat.
I've heard of heating your mascara tube in hot water to get a few more applications when it's nearly used up, but I've never tried it. Might help, probably can't hurt. Just try my method and see if it works for you. Patience and a steady hand go a long way, too! Good luck!
