If you are reading this article, it probably means that you have tried everything else to get rid of zits, blackheads, under eye circles, scars and skin blemishes without much success. Choosing the right concealer color can hide those blemishes that won't seem to go away. The first step in deciding on a concealer color is determining your skin tone.

Obviously, the concealer color that matches your skin tone the best will work the best. You want your concealer to appear as natural as possible. Determining the color of your blemishes also helps to find the right concealer color. For example, many blemishes tend to turn red. If you have a pimple or face discoloration that is red in nature, a concealer that is golden-based is best. This is because the gold will neutralize the red.

The best way to determine the color concealer you need is to ask a beautician. They have experience with different skin tones and are best able to help you find the right concealer color. You may also experiment yourself, but it will take practice and you may end up spending a lot of money.

To apply the concealer, use the tip of your finger to dot a light layer of concealer over the blemish. Gently blend the concealer and reapply, if necessary. Dust a light layer of loose powder over the concealer to create a natural look.

For under eye circles:

Choose a concealer color that is one shade lighter than your skin. Apply the concealer with light strokes. Working from the inner corner of your eye, pat and blend the concealer with your fingertip.
