Doing your own makeup can be daunting and challenging. Nevertheless, the worst of all, it is time-consuming. Just imagine the time we spend in front of the mirror in applying our makeup. It is longer than it takes us to take a bath. So is it doomsday if we are on a hurry and have limited time to spend in front of the mirror? The answer is no. If you will be just a little more systematic and organized, a woman can still get that perfect makeup look in as short as five minutes in front of the mirror. Read on to know how to makeup in five minutes.

After taking a bath, apply some moisturizer on your face. It is advisable before putting on foundation. Leave it on your face for sometime or for a minute so your skin will have enough time to absorb the moisturizer. While doing so, ready all your makeup that you need to avoid wasting time looking for this and that. So prepare your foundation, sponge or foundation brush, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, sharpened brow pencil, lipstick, lip brush, loose powder, powder blushes, and blush-on brush.

First, apply the foundation and blend it on your face using a sponge or a foundation brush. New tips on how to makeup suggest to use a foundation brush, which allows great coverage minus the sponge marks.

Next, focus on your eyes. Lightly apply your favorite eye shadow then apply eyeliner. Just follow the shape of the eyes since you only have limited time. Just concentrate on the outer corners to avoid messy application. Finally, apply mascara on the tips of your eyelashes.

Help with the Mac studio fix fluid application?

I brought it yestaday aswell as the conceler both in NC15 colour (the lady matched them up for me and is also the lightest colour) and i feel that it doesnt give the full coverage as i think it looks a bit orange and patchy.....i used my fingers to put it on and i usally dont have this problem...im gonna buy a foundation brush today, so will that make much of a difference and if so, what is the best way to apply it? stoking the brush outwards away from your face?

yes, a makeup brush will make a lot of difference! using your fingers it doesnt spread evenly, giving you an even finish. with a makeup brush you will achieve this look.
i dont like using sponges cos most of the product gets onto the sponge and hardly on the face!

i had a wonderful makeup artist at M.A.C and she match studio fix fluid and concealer on the first try! Instead of matching to my jawline, she matched it to my chest area, just abit underneath my neck area. I also made sure i went to a makeup artist with similar skin tones as me. im asian so i went to an asian makeup artist. i did not do this because im racist or anything like that but only because knowing she would have similar skin tone/type as me so she would understand better about my need or what im looking for.

Maybe the best thing for you to do is when you go in next time to buy a foundation brush, you should ask the makeup artist to help pick out the right type of brush for you and to show you how to apply on foundation with the makeup brush.
i can not advise you how to apply your foundation because i think everyone has their own prefence on how to do this. Some people like to use a duo 187 and stipple their liquid foundation, some use a sponge, some use a foundation brush and some use their fingers! so it depends on your liking!
