A brand new make up discovery has hit the market and shelves of the beauty, film and fashion industries and it continues to grow more popular each day. The beauty industry has been developing products for years, but somehow only noticed how effective mineral make up truly is. Mineral makeup has been around for over 25 years and is now taking care of skin then ever before.
Hypoallergenic powder is the base of mineral make up and instead of adding toxins to the skin; it nourishes and takes care of the skin. Actresses, models and fashion designers have decided to get rid of the old perfume make up products and bring in mineral makeup to keep the skin healthy and their look fresh and beautiful. Mineral makeup does not contain any dyes, alcohol, perfumes, preservatives or mineral oils and it is finally a product that does not cause allergies or clogged pores. It is one of the healthiest personal care products to hit the market.
Mineral makeup is fabulous for women who have skin dryness and sensitivity. It gives the modern woman a chance to wear makeup freely without itching, irritation or other skin complications. Many women have had to leave the makeup at home because of the toxic chemicals regular make up contains, therefore, creating a lack in confidence and spirit. Mineral makeup is very light and never feels heavy or weighs the face or skin down and it can be applied easily with pads or brushes like the famous Kabuki brush. It gives you a look that you perhaps had in your 20s or young 30s and make you look natural instead of like a made up doll.
This is the first make up product that is actually great for the skin and it provides minerals in its ingredients such as magnesium, zinc, titanium and gold. Women do not have to rush off to make the spa appointments to rejuvenate themselves and they can feel relaxed everyday when they apply their mineral makeup. It minimizes the look of wrinkles unlike foundations that cake over wrinkles and crows feet, making an individual look much older than they really are.
Another benefit of mineral makeup is that is contains zinc which has UVA-UVB sun protection. You can use mineral makeup after you do a facial peel or face cleansing and it won't suffocate your pores like regular cosmetic products. Say goodbye to itchy, bruised, flaking and red skin and enjoy the cooling effect of the newest make up trend. Makeup enthusiasts can enjoy mineral products such as eye shadows, concealers, foundations, lip gloss, blushes and much more.
Another nice thing about mineral makeup is that you can work out with it on or sleep in it and it doesn't age your skin. You can even put it on in the evening to wear it the next day. The minerals in the makeup cool and relax the skin to create happier and healthier skin.

Makeup trends change subtly from season-to-season. Since each season verbalizes its own rules and fashion trends, therefore its necessary to obey those fashion rules not only in terms of clothing but also in terms of make-up. We do not wear make-up as a muffle to conceal our face, but as a way to emphasize beauty and nuances of our beautiful face in a proper manner.
Makeup trends for fall/winter 2009 seem to be inspired by a wide variety of concepts. This year runways featured either bold and black-inspired makeup looks or a more pared down natural beauty for fall season. The color-scheme of cosmetics for winter 2009-2010 is full of contrasts.
Here are three makeups must have makeup trends for fall/winter 2009:
Cat-eye makeup: The cat-eye makeup which was a leading trend in fall 2008 is still around for fall 2009, but in a modified form. The tail end at outer corner of eyes stays horizontal and straight rather than sweeping up and out. This look, exaggerated on Lorick's runway, which was paired well with smoky espresso or velvet textured eye shadow. From runways to latest beauty campaigns, sooty black liner smudged the eyes with vampy blackish red lips! Luxurious golds and amber, moss greens, smoky grays, and deep shale are the highlights of fall 2009 eye makeup color palette.
Natural-looking and bold eyebrows have been a mainstay in beauty over last few seasons, and they continue to be a strong trend for fall/winter 2009 as well. A heavier, thicker black or brown eyebrow gives a more youthful appearance, making it a favorite choice for most women.
Lip trends: The lip trends for fall 2009 have gone completely bold. Black has been reinterpreted in lip colors too, resulting in a very extravagant, sophisticated and hot look for chilly weather. But if you have chosen bold makeup for eyes, it would be better to go for innocent colors for lips like pink, violet, and fuchsia. This will allow laying more emphasis on eyes. Popular lip colors for the season include plum, berry, and wine shades, as well as muted reds.
Givenchy Les Poetique, Chanel Noirs Obscurs, Lancome Declaring Indigo, and Bobbi Brown's Chrome Collection are some really adorable makeup lines for this fall and winter.
Sheer foundation makeup: Foundation makeup colors tend to remain same from season-to-season. But still, each season brings about a new texture to explore. Heavy winters often inspire a matte, powdery look that is absolute opposite of sheer looks of summer. Fall 2009 has taken the hold of sheer foundation makeup trend of summer with a few tweaks.
Sheer foundation makeup looks more natural than matte looks. Instead of a thicker matte texture, makeup trends for fall and winter this year, are calling on wearers to continue using their tinted moisturizers, with soft layer of translucent powder. There is another way to stay current with foundation makeup trends. A high-definition makeup can be done with a lightweight, oil-free base that perfects skin while still looking soft and natural.
Bare Escentuals makes great foundation kits that match skin tones and are easy to use. Best of all, they give a completely natural finish that can give a look of naked skin. Finish it off with a slick of balm and a swipe of mascara and you are done! The biggest key to this look is to remember that the right skin prep comes first in order to look flawless.
Like any other time of year, Fall 2009 stays away from featuring more than one focal point of face. Choosing to wear a bold lip color with neutral, understated eye is in line with fashion trends emerging for winters. On contrary, smoldering, intensely painted eyes will look best with a natural, soft lip color and delicately enhanced cheeks. Skin paleness is also in with its natural tints.

Which of these Bare Escentuals brushes is best for a flawless application of mineral foundation?
Have you used them and are they any good? Or should I stick with a Kabuki brush?
Either of the brushes is excellent for flawless application of BE foundation. The only real difference between them is one is retractable and more convenient to carry in your purse. I prefer the kabuki brush, however, because it gives more coverage with less applications.

Brush Number 1- It works well if you want to hightlight your cheek bones with a light shimmery highlighter. It works pretty well.
Brush Number 2- If you want a lip brush this one works okay. I would recommend getting it if you like to apply a lipgloss or lip pigment to you lips. Otherwise I wouldn't get it. Personally I just use the applicators that come with my lip gloss.
Brush Number 3- I really like this blush brush since it is bigger than your normal blush brush and when you apply blush with it it gives you a more natural look since it gives you more of a flushed look rather than just a streak of color.

Trying to find perfect makeup palette, any recommendations?
I'm looking for a neat little makeup palette I could toss into my bag on the go. I have very pale skin, so I would be looking for subtle shades, though I hate pale lipstick so that would want to be reasonably warm toned and with a wine/deep pink tint. Ideally, I'd love a palette that would include lip colour, mattifying powder, blush, bronzer and the appropriate mini brushes. Is there any palette out there that caters for these specifications?
Thanks for any help!
P.S I would be looking for reasonably high end-MAC, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, etc. Or if there are any other palettes you would recommend I'd love to hear about them!
I LOVE bobbi brown! MAC doesn't make palettes unless their from the Holiday collection or a quad from another collection. You can make your own 15 pan palette of only shadows though or a 6 pan custom blush palette but usually people don't do that unless their makeup artists.
Too Faced has some really good ones with blush, eyeshadow, lip color and sometimes even face powder. Dior doesn't really make palettes like that or Chanel.
I'd say go with Bobbi Brown, y ou can customize your own, if not go with a premade Too Faced one.

You have decided to put your house on the market. Odds are you want to sell your home as quickly as possible. There are a few simple things you can do to make the process of selling your home fast and painless. The first step is to get your house ready to be shown to potential buyers. In order to do that, there are a few things you should keep in mind.
The key to showing your house is to do what you can to get potential buyers to think of YOUR home as THEIR home. How can you do that? First you need to make sure your house is spic and span from top to bottom. You will need to go through your home and de-clutter. Countertops and shelves should be virtually bare. Closets should be neat and as empty as possible. Box things up and store them away. Many people are using pod services. These are small storage trailers that you can use when you are getting ready to move. If you don't want to spend the money, ask a friend if you can store some things in their basement or garage temporarily. The last resort is to store boxes in your own basement or garage. This is least favorable as you want to keep these areas as uncluttered as possible as well.
Next, you will want to rid your home of as many personal items as possible. This includes family photos, children's refrigerator artwork etc. You can replace photographs in frames with inexpensive artwork or you can print off pictures of scenery from the web to replace the pictures of Aunt Mary at the beach. Other personal items that should be put away before you show your home are personal toiletries like toothbrushes, soap, and shampoo in the shower. Remember, you are trying to get the potential buyer to start thinking of your home as his. He doesn't need or want to know that you use Rogaine or have sensitive gums.
Finally, you have to remember that everyone's home has a certain "smell". Perhaps it is the type of cooking you do, or the cleaning products you use. Whatever signature smell your home has, you will have to do what you can to make sure your home smells as generic as possible. Open doors and windows to air your home out a few hours before you show it. Put some cut flowers on the kitchen table. Bake a quick batch of cinnamon muffins or chocolate chip cookies right before people start to look at your home. Cinnamon and chocolate are considered pleasing smells to most people. Avoid burning candles as many people will view this as a sign that you are trying to cover up something.
Taking the time to do all of these thing will without a doubt increase your chances of getting an offer on your house in record time. Happy selling!
I have bought and sold three homes on my own. All of my homes have sold with one open house and in less than 4 hours.

If you feel that your skin badly needs some deep cleansing and a little bit of reinvigorating, you can always have a facial. Actually, in order to maintain a supple, soft and youthful-looking face and neck, you need to undergo this treatment at least once a month, especially if you are over 30.
However, not many could afford a monthly trip to a salon, spa or dermatology clinic just to have their face prepped and cleaned. If you are one of these people who would want to have fabulous skin but do not want to pay a large sum for a facial treatment in a salon, spa or clinic, do not despair. You can actually have your treatment in the comforts of your own home.
Here is a step-by-step guide to an easy and effective home facial:
Step One: Cleanse
Any treatment that concerns the skin usually begins with getting off the grime, dirt and makeup on your skin. Thus, the first step to an effective facial is by applying a cleansing cream all over your face and neck. You must leave the product on your skin for at least two minutes to give it time to dissolve dirt, make up and oils. Then, just wipe your face with a clean cloth, cotton wool, or facial tissue.
Step Two: Exfoliate
To remove deep-seated dirt and dry skin cells, you need to moisten your skin with warm water and put on a facial scrub, particularly the ones with micro beads. Gently massage the product on your face. Just make sure that you avoid the delicate area surrounding your eyes. After a while, rinse off with tepid water.
Step Three: Steam
Place a basin of boiling water, preferably one kettleful, in front of you. Then, lean over the basin and cover your head with a towel so that the steam will directly reach your face. But do not lean too low because you do not want to burn your face in the process. Make sure that you stay in this position for about five minutes.
Hot steam will open up your pores. If you have problems with blackheads and whiteheads, you can actually try removing them by pressing affected areas with your fingers. Just make sure that your hands are clean and the areas to be squeezed are covered with strong tissue paper.
Step Four: Mask
Place a facial mask all over your face. Just follow the instructions on the back of the product that you are using. If you have oily face, it is advisable to choose an exfoliating or clay-based mask. If your skin is dry, what you need is a moisturizing mask; this will help your skin retain much-needed moisture on your face.
Step Five: Close Your Pores
When the mask feels taut and dry, you can now rinse it off completely. It is best to remove the product with warm water. Your pores tend to open up after being in contact with steam or warm water; to prevent dirt from entering your pores, you need to close them. To do this, splash your face with cool water, concentrating on the areas where your pores are quite large. Dry your skin with a soft towel.
Step Six: Tone
In order to refresh your skin and get rid of excess oil, apply a facial toner on areas that are prone to acne and other blemishes; put special attention to your nose, forehead and chin. If you have extremely dry skin, you can skip this step.
Step Seven: Treat Your Eyes
Apply a generous amount of eye cream or gel on the areas surrounding your eyes. Your eyes also need some attention whenever you are having a facial.
Step Eight: Moisturize
After the cleansing, rinsing, steaming and toning, your face is now ready to get moisturized. Thus, apply a good amount of moisturizer all over your face and neck. This is important in keeping your skin soft and supple and your complexion even. One moisturizer you can use, during your monthly facials or even during your daily beauty regimen, is Dermaxin. If you want to know more about this cream, just visit http://www.dermaxin.com/.

Facial Skin Irritation with EVERYTHING!?
In January I brought Johnson's 3 in 1 Gentle Exfoliating wash and Boot's Cucumber moisturiser. I used both on my face: the Johnson's then stupidly enough the moisturiser (turns out it's a BODY one, not a face one) and I came out in this blotchy red itchy, stinging rash. It calmed down after a few days but appears every time I take my make up off with a make-up remover wipe: I've used T-Zone, Nivea, Cherish and a number of moisturisers. I don't want to waste any more money on products that bring me out in the rash. Thing is is that I resorted to using soap to remove my make up (Sainsbury's 'Pure' vegetable soap) and that brings me out in the rash too. My skin is fine with my make up on (both cosmetic and stage make up) there is no itching or stinging. Only after I take it off.
Anybody know what's going on?
I would try cutting out anything that contains alcohol, salycilic acid and lanolin, as all of these are common irritants; lanolin is in most soaps and moisturising creams as a thickener, and alcohol and salycilic acid are found in spot treatments and cleansers as a grease stripper. Furthermore, its unlikely any of those ingredients would be in makeup, so it would fit with your symptoms.
If that doesn't help, it might be worth looking into an allergy test?

So you have decided to start up your own auto detailing business. That's awesome! This is exactly what I decided to do not too long ago. Let me help you get started with auto detailing while minimizing the costs. You do not need a lot of fancy equipment. In fact you may not need any at all when you first start. The first thing you need to decide is will you be a standalone. A standalone means you have a set location. If you are not going the standalone route you will be a mobile detailer. In today's economy the mobile option seems like the best option. This is going to be a quick rundown of what you need to operate. Why is the mobile option more appealing because of the economic situation? Well there is little to no overhead aside from gas, and supplies. No hefty rent fee for your location or payroll for employees. It also gives you the versatility to go to the customer. It's a good niche, and this is important in being able to market yourself against the big standalone shops.
You need a shop-vac. Don't go cheap on the shop-vac or you will be replacing it very soon. Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and check out their selections. In my previous experience they have provided the best price even over discount stores such as Walmart. Now that you have your vac, you will need a wash mitt, a couple buckets, at least five microfibers, car wash, polishing compound, wax, interior and exterior protectant, and leather cleaner. Don't forget to get a couple spray bottles, some degreaser, and some detailing brushes. I recommend the chemicals that are provided by prowax A long hose, and extension cord as well as a spray nozzle. Did I mention glass cleaner? And to wrap things up you will want a very firm scrub brush for the cloth and carpets.
That's about it to minimize your auto detailing start up costs. I would definitely look into getting more supplies asap, but this will get you started. This is the cheapest way to get started and with just the above items you could start detailing vehicles and turning a profit. We will go more in depth later on the multitude of other options. As you can guess you can have a lot more things in your detail caddy, but for starters this is all you need. The best part is it will keep your auto detailing start up costs to a minimum. I would also suggest getting a pack of Magic Erasers. Magic Erasers are awesome at cleaning up scuff marks in the interior. Magic erasers are very cheap and work wonders on cleaning scuff marks off of your interior.
This can all be bought for under $200 total.
Like I said before this was going to be the low cost option. There are many other machines, polishes, compounds, and various pads and chemicals to bolster the options you can provide to your customers. Unless you have the skill to perform these types of actions it's best to not waste your money. The cost is expensive and the results from improper technique can be absolutely disastrous.
Why would newly sharpened clipper blades fail to cut?
I have a set of clippers bought only last year, and have used them lightly. I sent the blades to be resharpened this past week to a reputable firm in the UK, and I went to use them today. I fitted the blades, tensioned the clippers and used them on a well brushed-out area of his coat. A thick native pony coat certainly, but the blades would barely cut, and it was a right mess so i stopped. I borrowed a friends clippers and it sliced through the coat like butter.
The clippers are very good quality heavy-duty sort and are in spanking working order, but there is a problem with the cutting surface.
Could there be any explanation other than the blades haven't actually been sharpened?
Thanks.
*unfortunately I had to send the blades off to be sharpened, as there is nowhere near me that does servicing/sharpening.
*yes I oiled them!!!
*blades don't appear bent, and are fitted correctly.
sometimes its the clippers, other times its just the horse!!! my clippers have a mind of their own! Even with sharp blades in they sometimes won't clip 1 horse but will another! this is due to the sweat in the horses coat which won't brush out, mud or sand. My clippers wont clip 1 of my cobs, but will do all the other horses (so i nick my hubbys!). You need to make sure you got the clipper pieces in the right order, and also that on the bottom plate, the piece that holds them in the clipper is tight as when it gets loose they sometimes won't cut. If you have tried everything (and another horse) then send the blades back and explain whats happened, they should replace them or re sharpen them etc. I use ?.? Anthony in hereford (cant remember his initials) for sharpening my blades.

I'm having a problem with concealer and under-eye circles?
I've been using concealer and loose powder to hide my under-eye circles. I've found that a cream concealer is much more effective than a liquid concealer. However, my problem is that one of my under-eye circles is much worse than the other. It's larger for a start and the skin under that eye is rougher and is an incompetent host to makeup. If I apply makeup to that under-eye circle it merely becomes grainy and doesn't last more than a few minutes, but it's all so perfect on the other circle.
Is there anything I can do to quell this problem?
if the skin on one eye is rougher than the other then it may help for you to try and use a better moisturizer or more moisturizer on that one eye. once you do that use a face primer, then use your concealer, after you use your concealer then you apply your loose powder so it covers your under eye circles better. hope it helps(:

With mineral makeup as popular as it is, you might have become interested in using it yourself, but there are many brands and just as many or more promises. You might wonder what the hype is about as well as if you will see any true benefit from using mineral makeup.
Mineral makeup has become as popular as it is for a reason. It's ideal for most skin types and generally flatters those who wear it. Let's look first at some of the benefits of mineral makeup and then examine a few of the top-selling mineral makeup companies.
Benefits
There are aesthetic benefits of using mineral makeup and actual benefits to the skin itself.
People who use mineral cosmetics claim that it makes their skin look better and that their skin looks fresher and less made up than when they used another kind of foundation. Although your skin might look less made up, most of those who use mineral makeup are happy with the naturally polished look the makeup gives their skin.
The key to getting that naturally polished look is application. Mineral makeup lends itself well to a light application followed by a light application. You can easily build on the makeup when needed for a more formal occasion, or you can keep it light. The key is to start light and build from there.
The other primary benefit of mineral cosmetics and all types of natural makeup and foundation is its benefit to the skin itself. Because mineral cosmetics is naturally derived and contains no products that can irritate the skin, and nothing artificial, many believe that it's better for the skin. Those with dry skin find that their skin is more balance and those with oily skin find they have fewer breakouts. This is especially true for women who previously used liquid foundation.
Brands
Three of the top selling brands in the mineral makeup market are Mary Kay, Bare Minerals and Raw Minerals.
Bare Minerals is the company that brought back the concept of mineral cosmetics makeup (previously somewhat popular in the 1970s). The makeup is 100% natural and is sold on television, on the internet and in stores throughout the United States. Bare Minerals refers to the mineral makeup that's sold by parent company Bare Escentuals, which also offers a wide array of skincare and other products.
Mary Kay is also a leader in the field of mineral and natural makeup. Because the company is generally thought to offer one of the best makeup brands around, it stands to reason that the mineral makeup would be a top seller. Offering six shades of makeup and a full coverage application brush, Mary Kay seeks to topple the incredible popularity of the Bare Minerals brand.
Raw Minerals is one of the newer products to enter the popular makeup line, but it's taking a share of the market quickly. This brand adds additional ingredients to its makeup that might help the skin stay healthy. These include soybean and natural corn extracts, among other things.
It's the reported benefits of mineral makeup that have women clamoring for it, and all that's left is a decision about brand. If you can, try a sample of a brand you're interested in before making a purchase. Then you can be assured of getting the right brand for you.

Am I in denial regarding this product?
I started using BeneFit's Hello Flawless 2 weeks ago. I have been experiencing more pimples than usual...I keep on getting pumps full of sebum. Is it from it? Before BeneFit I used Bare Escentuals which I hated...I have tried every single product out there and nothing looks good on me!
Is my new makeup giving me my pimples?
What else can I try?
It could be very possible that it's the makeup. You might want to give it another week just because you've suddenly switched to a new one and your skin hasn't adjusted. One thing that really helps me out is using a face lotion because it creates a barrier so that your foundation cant get into your pours as easily. I love Almay daily for oily skin it works wonders! Other then that I use Mineral Power. The whole line of foun dation care from them is really amazing. But! It depends on the person! Good luck and stay beautiful!
