If you look, you'll see many people every day wearing this classic look. This tutorial refers to using black and brown eyeshadow, but you can use other eyeshadow colors to match your clothes.
To start, apply concealer and any other products that you normally use. My recommendation is Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind concealer. Curl eyelashes before getting started with this look.
To get started, grab a small makeup brush and some white eyeshadow. Get some eyeshadow from the inner corner of the eye to the bottom of the brow bone.
Using the same brush, apply grey eyeshadow to the middle of the eyelid, slightly overlapping the white eyeshadow from the last step. Finally, apply black eyeshadow to the outside of the lid, overlapping the gray eyeshadow. You should now have three bands of eyeshadow, lightest nearest your nose and darkest at the outside edges of your eyes.
Use a blending brush to blur the transitions between the three eyeshadows, pulling the eyeshadow into any creases in your eyelids as well. Move the brush back and forth across the eyelid to make a smooth, seamless blend.
Add a brown shadow above the eyelid crease. Apply lightly, blending as you go. The brown should extend slightly outside of the black shadow on the outside of your eyelid. Use your blending brush to smooth the brown into the black, gray, and white eyeshadows below. If you don't blend everything smoothly, it ends up looking awkward!
Contouring makes this look stand out even more! Grab your white eyeshadow again and apply to the brow bone, smoothing as you go. This makes the smokey eye look stand out even more.
Apply black eyeliner to darken the eye, and then add mascara to complete the smokey eye look. It's important to use the brown (or some other color) because using just black, gray, and white ends up looking too monochromatic and unnatural. The brown helps the outside of the smokey eye blend into your natural skin tone.
Does anyone know where I can buy quality makeup brushes in bulk?
When I said in bulk, I mean like several crease brushes or several shadow brushes etc... in one order.
Sorry, my explaination is crappy -_-
Thank you!

Paint brushes come in a variety of shapes, sizes, materials, and costs. Determining which one is right for you, and when it is the right one, depends largely on how you want to use it. The main types of brushes are china bristle, soft hair, and synthetic bristle.
China Bristle Brushes
China bristle brushes, also called hog bristle or Chungking bristle, are made from natural pig hair. They are tough, durable brushes, able to stand up to the oil while still cleaning up nicely. They can hold a lot of paint, making them ideal for alla prima painting or impasto.
Soft Hair Brushes
Soft hair brushes are made from Kolinsky sable or ox hair, or more rarely squirrel, pony, goat, mongoose or badger. Soft hair brushes are much softer than china bristles, and a lot more expensive. It's not unheard of to pay several hundred dollars for a large sable brush. But for more delicate work, like blending and glazing, soft hair brushes are indispensable.
Synthetic Bristle Brushes
For quality and affordability, you can't go wrong with synthetic bristle brushes. Though turpentine or thinners used in oil painting can destroy some types of synthetic brushes, recent innovations in synthetic bristle technology have produced solvent resistant brushes.
Be careful, though. While affordability is a legitimate consideration when choosing your brushes, don't let it be the main one. Those brushes in the multi-packs may look just as good as the others, at a fraction of the cost, but you will end up with brushes warped and falling apart in no time.
Brush Shapes
Paint brushes come in several shapes, each designed to apply the paint in specific ways. The most useful shapes you will use in oil painting, in no particular order, are:
Flat - Designed to spread paint quickly and evenly to an area.
Bright - Similar to a flat brush, but with short, stiff bristles. Great for impasto work.
Round - Long, closely arranged bristles used for drawing or detail work.
Filbert - These almond-shaped brushes offer good coverage and the ability to perform some detail work
Fan Brush - Used for blending broad areas and creating different textures.
Liner Brush - Used for lettering and fine detail work.
By no means do you have to use, or even have, all of these brushes. Experiment and find the shape that works for you.
Brush Sizes
Brushes are sized by numbers based on the width of the brush at the metal sleeve, or ferrule, which holds the bristles in place. The size of your painting surface will help determine the size of the brush you use. For example, a brush that is 2 inches wide will be used on a canvas that is at least two or three feet in either direction.
However, this is just a rule of thumb. As with brush shapes, the sizes you choose will ultimately be determined by personal preference. So go get some brushes and start painting.

Whatever your passion, if you want the best performance you have to have the best tools for the job and with binoculars it is no different. There are only a few top quality binoculars that are streets ahead of anything else on the market and among them are the Ultravid Leica binoculars. If you are really passionate about what you do don't settle for anything other that the absolute best in precision engineering and optical performance, qualities that binoculars such as the Swarovski EL's and the all new Leica Ultravid's are renowned for.
Leica have absolutely excelled themselves with the Ultravid's, which are a great improvement on the original Trinovid series, to produce absolutely superb binoculars with exceptional optical resolution and contrast. Just take a look through Ultravid Leica binoculars and you'll be amazed at how bright, clear and sharp the images are. You will truly understand what images should look like through binoculars of superior optical design.
For comfort and ease of use the Ultravids get top marks:
o the lightweight die-cast magnesium housing with central titanium hinge and soft tough rubber armour make them comfortable to hold, lightweight yet extremely rugged, ideal for extreme conditions added to which
o Ultravid Leica binoculars are precision engineered to ensure perfect balance making them the ideal companion during periods of extended viewing and
o focusing is so quick and easy with the newly designed, perfectly smooth, central focusing system
As with all superior quality binoculars the Leica Ultravid's are waterproof, nitrogen filled and sealed to ensure a perfect performance in all weather conditions, an absolute must for regular outdoor use in the UK. The Utravid Leica binoculars ability to perform in extremely high and low temperatures is outstanding as a result of high performance Teflon disks that operate with almost no lubrication.
If you want elegance look no further than the Ultravid 8x42 and 10x42 (BL series) Leica binoculars, they are slimmer and lighter than their rubber coated counterparts, exceptionally light for binoculars of their size and optical quality, just 695g and 710g.
Leica have introduced a whole series of optical improvements into the Ultravid design to ensure that every model in the Ultravid Leica binocular series delivers edge to edge sharp, crystal clear images with excellent contrast:
o Leica AquaDura Coating, modelled on a lotus plant who's leaves never get dirty and where droplets of water never rest, this newly developed coating alters the surface of the outer lenses of the binoculars to ensure liquids can no longer stick to the surface and when water rolls off the dirt goes with it.
o The high-definition optics in the Ultravid HD Leica binoculars utilise FL lenses to increase image resolution. The HD models offer exceptional contrast and natural colour with sharper, more clearly defined images. The FL lenses are made from calcium fluorite, a mineral with an extremely low refractive index and low dispersion which reduces colour aberrations.
o Ultravid Leica binoculars come with high performance (HDC) optical coatings which not only protect the outer lenses from environmental influences and scratches but ensure that light transmission is as close to 100% as possible (99.7%).
o A change in the prism glass material and the use of phase correction coating P40 on the prisms has enabled Leica to deliver outstandingly bright viewing, even in low light conditions.
o The HighLux system (HLS) is a mechanical system combined with a specially developed mirror prism coating that has been utilised to optimise light transmission and contrast and ensure the sharpest possible view.
The attention to detail in what can only be described as an absolutely superb pair of binos has resulted in near perfect Leica binoculars of a stunning design with an exceptional image quality that is hard to match. Definitely worth a look if you are looking for high performance compact, mid-size or full-size binoculars.
okay so i'm a girl, and i'm a bit hairier for girls. (considering i'm asian and asians are supposly hairless).
i heard men's razors are wayy better than girls, so i got a gillette mach 3 refillable razor. is it going to be rough and cut my skin (cause its mens)? My skin isn't that sensitive, but i don't have a high tolerance for pain. Also, i heard "shaving" your mirror will make the razor less sharp? Is that neccessary for me to do?
thanks in advance.
what i do is mainly hit your skin with good amount of almost hot water to get the skin ready for the blade. Dont go all crazy with the strokes, and you'll be nice and smooth like i have to be everyday! I hate shaving!LOL

Colors like wine/creme, wine/champagne, and wine/gold are really nice colors to go with an October wedding. I think those color choices compliment each other beautifully, particularly the wine, gold, and champagne. Other colors to throw in there that would go nicely would be a deeper shade of copper and another lighter/darker red. Because it will be in the fall time of year, she could always coordinate oranges in there as well with flowers and centerpieces.
September is a month where you can really use some of the deep, rich colors. Consider combining the green, which you like, with browns, yellows, oranges, reds and cream. It would also look pretty with cocoa and cream colors. Keep your attendants in mind when selecting colors as you want everyone to look good in the colors.
One example, you could have your attendants wear cocoa dresses with a cream sash and carry bouquets of the rich mixed colors. This is one way to tie in the green.
You could also use it in the linens. I think if you use the green as an accent, it should work beautifully. Once you've selected your florist, they will also be able to help you put the colors together.
You need first to select your own dress (if you haven't done this already) then pick out the dresses for your attendants.
The light green would go beautifully with a darker green or a darker red/orange. This would "ground" the color in a more summer-fall transitional theme. You could use three colors- the light green, a darker green (dark sage, hunter, etc), and pair it with a gold, yellow, burnt orange, or dark red for accents.
I'm not sure how you want to introduce the new color/s but I'd suggest bringing more of the pink in or perhaps gold, as the colors you have already chosen are 'warm'. Tense can be complemented with claret accents which would look lovely.
Colors are traditionally kept to the bridal party (Bride, BMs, MOH, Groomsmen) to make them more distinguishable. Usually the Mums tone with the bridal party but just to complement rather than match.
If they wanted to complement then you could always look at some sort of patterned material with an ivory/cream/gold background, with the pattern in a mauve or pink.
I find it works well to give the swatches of the color out and then the ladies can buy their outfits to tone (as long they confer so they don't end up with the same or similar outfits!).
As I said, introducing more colors can complicate the look but if you go for more subtle shades as suggested, this should enrich the look without cluttering it.
It would be possible to have the bridesmaids dresses match the color of your sash then accessorize them with darker pink and sea green sashes? This carries the theme of your pale blush color, but also puts life into it. Use silver as your accent color, in the bouquets as well as the table arrangements.
Another color that would work is coco brown with blush or pink sashes. However brown would really need gold instead of silver. A rich cream would also be beautiful with the green and pink accents.
Yes, the three colors would work beautifully together. If you do use the lighter colors, use heavier fabric, since the wedding is in October.
Yellow and orange would also work.
I am getting married in August of 2007 my colors are going to be red and black.
First, the first thing I would say would be to stick with all white for your bouquet. Your maids should have red. Stick with black for ribbon only. The reason is that any flower that is black ... will look like a hole in the pictures. You may use your white for filler ... if you like to soften the red.
As to where you should purchase your flowers? For fresh flowers ... I am always encouraging local suppliers, first. But if you have a hard time to get the flowers that you really want or there is a shortage on the type of flowers that you would like then I would go with the Internet as a last resort for fresh flowers. Always order a test if you are going with an Internet source.

Pride & Prejudice [HD DVD]

Literary adaptations just don't get any better than director Joe Wright's 2005 version of Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice. There are many advantages to using mineral makeup. Found out why you should use bare minerals makeup!
Reason 1: Low Moisture
One of the biggest advantages of using bare minerals makeup is that because mineral makeup contains no moisture it will not allow bacteria to form and multiply. Mineral makeup is made up entirely of dry minerals in a powder form. You may have noticed that regular makeup has an expiration date on it. Can you guess why? It's because standard makeup is made with oils and other liquids that are full of moisture and are practically a breeding ground for bacteria. Mineral makeup obviously does not have this problem. There is also another benefit of the lack of moisture in mineral makeup... it will last much longer! You see, when you sweat or oil from your skin comes into contact with traditional makeup, it increases the moisture that's already in the makeup and causes it to pretty much drip off of your face. Mineral makeup on the other hand, does not have this problem. Because it is a dry powder, it is able to safely absorb this extra moisture and will last all day long!
Reason 2: Healthy Skin
Did you know that traditional makeup contains perfumes, dyes, and other chemicals that are harmful to your skin? Many makeups even contain a chemical to make you look younger... do you know how it makes you look younger? It is designed to remove the top layer of your skin! Mineral makeup is make from pure natural minerals that come straight from the earth. It does not contain any of these harmful chemicals. Also, because it is a dry powder and does not promote the growth of bacteria, it can also help prevent breakouts and irritation. Another benefit of bare minerals makeup is that it acts as a natural sunscreen, blocking harmful UV rays. Many people who have used mineral makeup have reported an increase in skin health, even when they have only used it for a brief period.
Is it okay to leave on bare minerals makeup overnight?
I started using bare minerals about a month ago and almost everytime I use it, I just go to bed with it. I'm the lazy type of people who don't wash their makeup off before bed (lols) but I do take a shower in the morning and wash my face. Is it bad to leave the makeup on overnight?
I only use bare minerals about two or three times a week and never more than that...
i accidently fall asleep all the time like that! haha.
but in reality, it is bad for your skin, no matter how natural or 'bare' it is, there is still a layer covering your pores.
gross, but, you sweat in your sleep, oil builds up, and all that lovely stuff;)
so this not only can cause you to break out, dry out, get oily, or anything like that, but it can also cause wrinkles!(with time ofcourse)
if you fall asleep with it on sometimes it should be fine, but i wouldnt suggest all the time if youre too worried about it.
(i should take my own advice, i know! haha.)

Question on What kind of Travel Bag to Use in Australia?
I am traveling for about 1.5 months from Mexico, then to Australia and finally in Fiji. I was wondering if someone experienced with prolonged travel could tell me if I should use a cargo style large bag or if a Kelty/ North Face, large style backpack would do the trick. I won't be doing anything majorly strenuous but there will be camping involved and as I said, I will be away for about 1.5 months. Thanks.
Having travelled twice around Europe with the same backpack, this is definitely the way to go (hands free, weight distributed on shoulders, waist). As you are only going for 1.5 months, you will have more than enough room for all your stuff. Pack it then take half your clothes out - you will not need them!
