Boy! There's nothing like a clear face, free from pimples, blemishes and spots. There's nothing like being able to look in the mirror and seeing smooth clear skin and a clear complexion. And, there's nothing like being able to stop being embarrassed about bad skin problems.
So you want to know how to get a clear face and acne-free skin? Following is some information and tips for a clear face and what works for acne.
Where does acne come from?
Although acne can be very complex, the causes of it are relatively simple. Basically, acne will come from a combination of the following:
o Irritated hair follicles
o Loosened, dead skin cells
o Overproduction of oil from sebaceous glands under the skin
o Bacterial build up
o Clogged pores
Other factors than can cause acne are:
o Heredity
o Stress (this can make oil glands overact)
o Hormone fluctuations (men and women)
o Some pore clogging cosmetics
o Dirty make-up applicators
So what works for acne?
Following are some clear face tips and information about the first steps to take to get rid of acne problems and get the clear skin you desire. With knowing this information and following through on using an effective acne treatment system, your skin should clear within a week or two.
Clear Face Tips #1: Do a skin analysis
Make a determination about what type of skin you are dealing with. Is your skin dry? Is your skin oily? Do you have a combination of oily and dry skin? Is your skin normal? Or do you have sensitive skin? Knowing what type of skin you have will help you determine what works for acne, blemishes and spots for yourself.
Clear Face Tips #2: Oily skin
Oily skin appears shiny and pores are often big which makes the skin prone to blackheads. If the skin on your face tends to be oily all over, or on certain areas, it is best to use a face wash that is oil-free, and also contains salicylic acid on affected areas. Clear Face Tips #6: Get rid of spots on the face
One of the best ways to get rid of spots is to use fade cream. Be sure and choose one that is best for your skin type and be sure to follow the instructions on proper use. Also, do not be discouraged if it appears that the spots are not fading at first. It generally takes at least three weeks before you start to see a difference in the appearance of spots. So keep it up! Be persistent. Cocoa butter can also fade spots, but it may take a little longer. Also vitamin E oil can help smooth scars. But, remember, it won't happen overnight so continue use every day. You will see a difference after a few weeks.

Just a few months ago I went over to repair a pocket door that was closing at a weird angle. This was the first time I had ran into this sort of situation and was definitely confused. I got a flashlight and started looking inside the pocket door frame. I had a hard time finding the problem but when I did it was obvious.
As the pocket door was sliding closed it would work perfectly but when you went to open it the bottom of the door would stick out about an inch and a half passed the door jam. The problem turned out to be the track was missing a screw in the very back and as the door slid back into the frame the tracking would hang down at an angle from the weight of the door. There was no way to reach the screw because it was at that very back of the pocket door frame near the framing itself.
In order to fix the pocket door problem I was going to have to remove a good sized area of the plastered wall at the upper right hand corner of the pocket door frame. This was the only thing I could think of and would require a simple wall patch and some paint to make the repair complete.
This job took me about one hour to cut the hole and replaced the screw that had fallen out of the pocket door tracking. I then use some fast setting drywall plaster and some fiberglass drywall tape to repair the wall. This took another hour to finish the drywall properly.
Some pocket door problems are a little easier to repair than this one. Most pocket doors seemed to have problems sliding and eventually are left closed, never to be used again.
Painting the doors over and over again can actually add to the thickness of the door or excessive moisture in the home over long periods of time can also cause the door to swell preventing it from opening properly.
Painting the rollers themselves or the track that the rollers ride in can create a problem with rolling the door easily and effortlessly. If the pocket door rollers or tracking is damaged they will have to be repaired or replaced, obviously. Some people actually spray silicon on the rollers or grease the pocket door wheels and over time the track becomes caked with dried grease and dirt making the door hard to open and close
Here's one most people don't ever think about and yet I have faced this problem more than once. "The Dreaded Picture Hanger". Most people don't realize that the pocket door will not operate very well with a nail driven through it. I have had people complain about their pocket door not operating properly but they can wiggle it a little.
When I come upon a situation like this it usually just requires removing the nail that the picture is hung upon.
I have also seen instances where the home has been remodeled and new floor trim or door trim has been installed. The finish carpenter using his nail gun without changing to a shorter nail has himself nailed the pocket door shut. This could be a big problem because the nails are so thin they could be hard to remove.

Carpets of any kind are expensive, and need to be preserved as well as possible to ensure that they have a long, productive life. However, carpets are a part of your flooring, which means that they get exposed to all sorts of dirt - dry, wet or somewhere in between.
The most obvious tip to help keep your carpet clean is to vacuum it regularly. A weekly vacuuming - make it your Sunday morning task - keeps your carpet dust-free. This will prevent allergies, insect infestations and also keep your carpet looking fresh and nicely aired out.
Always take your time while vacuuming - do not pass over your carpet too quickly, as the vacuum will not have the time to loosen as well as draw in the dust and dirt particles. Also, pass your vacuum cleaner along in at least two opposing directions, so that all the carpet fibres get agitated and the dirt removed from along them.
Liquid spills, however, need more attention. Always take immediate action, no matter what the type of liquid is. Allowing a coloured liquid to stay on your carpet for too long may result in a permanent stain, discolouring your carpet if you use too much bleach or cleaning detergent on it.
The first thing you should do when you see a liquid spill is to place a large, absorbent towel over it. Let the towel absorb as much of the liquid spill as possible, so that it does not spread or seep into the lower layers of your carpet. Keep in mind that acidic liquids such as urine or vomit will lead to discolouration, so clean it up before it has a chance to dry(and become even more disgusting).
A vinegar-water solution is a fabric-friendly way to clean up a stain once most of the liquid has been soaked off it. Avoid soap-based cleaners, as the residue from these will attract dirt from any shoes which step on the carpet. Acidic cleaners like vinegar are friendly to both your carpet and your hands, so you can use these freely.
After you have cleaned up the acidic stain, sprinkle some baking powder over the damp spot. The baking powder will partly help to soak up the liquid, and will also work as an odour suppressant - a much cheaper solution than the commercial odour control mechanisms. At least once a year, send your carpet to a professional cleaner. This will help preserve its colour and texture, thus saving you much more than you spend on the professional's cleaning services.
Remember, that every separate situation requires different tactics. What has been given above is only a broad outline of things you can do to clean the most common stains on your carpet. In case of ink spills or serious stains you do not feel equipped to deal with, do not hesitate to call up your carpet cleaners. They will tell you what to do, and will also intervene if necessary and return your carpet to its original, new state.

Many people like terracotta in its natural form, but if you do want to decorate it, this is intended as a general guide.
You can have a lot of fun doing this and really, it is quite easy to do. So, what items do you require for this? A black felt tipped pen, scissors, a soft pencil, masking tape, tracing paper, cartridge paper and some poster paint markers, which are fine nibbed, plus another one with an extra broad nib.
What a good invention poster paints are! They help you to achieve satisfactory results. These paints can be used on fabrics and wood as well as terracotta and, in fact, give permanent marking on porous surfaces.
However, I would not recommend washing them. They are not permanent on glass, plastic, rubber or non absorbent surfaces, but at least you can change your design. So in this instance, it gives you some flexibility.
As an example, if you need to make your design permanent, say on a non porous surface, all you need to do is to apply a coat of acrylic varnish.
With cartridge paper, using the poster paint markers, start working out your ideas of design. It is probably better that you make quite a few, as you need to experiment with shapes and your chosen colours.
Now try your design against the terracotta and see how it looks or fits before you get round to painting it. With your tracing paper trace the outlines of your sketches with the black felt tipped pen. You then need to leave a little space around them and place them in position on your article.
Keep them in place with masking tape, but double this over. Now you can try placing them differently until you are happy with the result. You are now ready to draw your designs on the terracotta. So, you need to remove your motifs if you like and continue drawing them freely.
So we have now reached the colouring stage. Once all your outlines are on, you can begin to fill them in with your colour markers. The markers dry quickly, but just be careful that the side of your hand does not smudge any areas.
Now looking at your sketches, fill in the insides of them with a fine nibbed paint marker. Then you can continue filling in your motifs with, say, your second colour. Of course you will need to fill in your background colour with a broad nibbed pen, but take care when you are near your motifs.
Leave a little space all around them unpainted. Also, you do not need to have the background go right up to the top or the base of your object, although you can give your background a fancy edge.

How did you get started, how do you create business and make money? What tips/advice do you have for newbies?
Got to love the person who responds negatively with an agenda to throw another company out there.
Though I did not do Mary Kay, I know many who have, some successfully, others not. BUT I have done other home party type businesses and the basics are the same.
You start with your warm market - friends and family and ask for referrals of their friends and families. Some consultants are aggressive and some are not. The ones I have seen succeed have been the most aggressive.
Not everyone is a potential prospect or recruit but in all these plans you are told to ask anyway. After you run out of your warm market and referrals, then you have to get a bit more creative and invoke the 3' rule. If they're breathing and have a pulse - talk to them.
I was a consultant in my business for 2 years. It was a struggle the entire way, but there again, I am not a real aggressive person. I am sure my up line would have told me I wasn't working hard enough and in her eyes, by her example, I was not, but I don't like chasing people down and hounding them or throwing myself out there to strangers either.
Back in February of this year, a friend of mine pleaded with me to come to a Mary Kay party she was hosting. I don't wear makeup and luckily I was going to be out of town so did not have to make up an excuse or drag myself to something that was of no interest to me. In May she contacted me again. Seems no one showed up, this consultant had been 'ragging' (her words- not mine) her to have a party for over a year, would I PLEASE come. I did and didn't buy anything. I don't really know if I was doing her a favor by showing up or not and the sales were not that great. Mainly the hostess and her daughter bought. Seems that everyone else who came was just doing the 'friend thing' for the hostess.
These are just some of the 'realities' of home parties that consultants don't talk about because they are not good for business.
If you are real aggressive and or have a VERY large circle of influence you may have a great start. If you don't, then it might be a struggle. One other thing you need to find out is whether you have a ton of Mary Kay reps already in your area. It's like Avon... there's possibly two or three on every corner already.
