I have made Sui Mai and other Chinese dim sum for the steamer many times over the years, I have tried numerous recipes from websites, cookbooks, all were from very authentic sources. My issue is not with the flavor but with the consistency. Mine are a little dry, and the texture is almost crumbly . I am looking for the solid texture you would find at a Chinese restaurant, if you bite into it there is no separation of the interior, I am referring to pork or chicken sui mai. Is there a secret ingredient I am not finding in my cookbooks? Should I be processing longer in the Cuisinart?

Mental imagery can do amazing things to a person's mindset. Basically all worry is due to mental imagery. This is because a person only worries about something he or she doesn't know the outcome to. Waiting for the results of a lab test to come back is one example. When you imagine a bad outcome, you will exhibit all the symptoms of a worried and nervous person. When you imagine a good outcome, none of these symptoms will be present.
The right kind of imagery can help a person in many different situations. The old public speaker's trick is to imagine his or her audience to be naked. This, of course may be difficult to get the hang of, but it certainly could change the speaker's mindset from one of being inferior to a much bolder one.
Using mental imagery can also help overcome a panic attack or other types of anxiety symptoms. There are some mental images that work very well for this. In this article, I would like to share one taught to me by a young school teacher who is wise beyond her years. This little trick helped me greatly when I was a panic sufferer. Like the public speaker trick, this one takes a little practice to master, but just thinking about this image will bring at least, some relief.
Chinese Handcuffs
When we were kids, we used to play with a toy known as Chinese Handcuffs or Chinese Finger Cuffs. These were simply a tubular device, about the width of a human finger that was woven out of bamboo. When an unsuspecting person would put both his index fingers in the finger cuff, he would become trapped in them.
The harder he pulled his fingers apart, the tighter the device would become. Eventually, most people figured out the way to escape these finger cuffs is to stop pulling. I'll bet at one time or another, you have played with this toy and learned the trick to freeing your fingers as well.
Relax Your Way to Anxiety Freedom

Maybe an extra few snappis just in case and a wet bag for your diaper bag when you're out an about. I haven't CDed a newborn (yet) as we started when my son was a few months old and grown into ourone size pockets but I think prefolds and covers are a great way to go for newborns. Inexpensive and very easy to wash out for those newborn nasties. What brand prefolds and flats did you get? Hopefully not Gerber as I hear nothing about those but how awful they are as diapers... Sounds like you have a good stash going though! Oh! You may want to get a washable pail liner too, but those really aren't totally necessary. We use really large Planet Wise wetbags instead of a pail. We have two of them to switch out, and we also have two small wet bags for the diaper bag

People say that eyes don't lie. They are after all known as the window to your soul and it is only but natural that you know how to apply eye makeup. A major part of your makeup should actually focus on the region around your eyes. It is only when you give this region the importance that it deserves that you will achieve good results with your overall makeup.
The first thing that you need to do is to get a good concealer to hide all those dark puffy circles under your eyes. It is always preferable that you use a professional brush to pad the concealer. There are some simple natural remedies too that you can try before you apply the concealer. You can for example use either potato peel or cucumber and place it on your eyes. This will relax your eyes and make the skin around it smooth which will help you later on when you actually apply makeup to the eyes.
One of the secrets to apply eye makeup like a pro is to use a good eye base. Remember, it is only when you have applied the eye base properly that the eye makeup is going to stay longer. Make sure though that you choose the right hue when it comes to your eye base. This is important because the color should match that of your skin. This applies to the color of the eye liner too. Once you are through with applying the eye liner, you can then finally apply the mascara. It should be such that it compliments your skin tone. You should also take into consideration the color of your eyes when you apply eye makeup. Once you take care of all these aspects you too can end up looking and feeling like the supermodels whose looks you always idolized.

a lot of reviews can be found on youtube but be warned that many of those people were sent the brushes for FREE to do a review. So take it with a grain of salt.
I always like to watch negative reviews to see what they had to say about it and then i watch what those people do prefer to see if we have any in common...i know it sounds like it's really lengthy but somehow for me it's not!

If you're a perfume lover like me, chances are that a trip to your local high street perfume shop is like letting a child loose in a sweet shop. I just can't resist the urge touch every bottle and spritz perfume on every available patch of skin, even my husband's if he's unlucky enough to be with me at the time. As much fun as this can be, if you're actually looking for that next signature scent for yourself then this is not exactly the best way to go about testing perfume and here's why.
You see the human nose is a funny old thing. The more you bombard it with different smells, the more difficult it becomes to differentiate between those smells, something which is obviously pretty important when choosing a fragrance. The general rule seems to be that you shouldn't test more than three fragrances at a time. I personally would go so far as to say you shouldn't actually test more than two on your skin at any one time.
But before you even try a perfume on your skin you should try blotter tests first - you know, the little strips of paper that you see in your perfume shop. Blotter testing allows you to get an initial impression of a fragrance. Some fragrances you may immediately dislike and so there's no real point in testing those on your skin. Others you may not dislike but you may be a little uncertain about them. Don't ignore those completely - remember that fragrances change when they come into contact with your particular skin chemistry and they also change the longer you wear them. And like most things, when testing, take your time with these blotter tests. Smell one or two perfumes and then give your nose a minute or two to settle before trying more.
Once you have a selection of blotters that you like, try to choose the two or three that stood out the most for you. Now you're ready for some actual skin testing. In an ideal world, your friendly perfume sales assistant will be able to provide you with sample vials of your selected fragrances so that you can take these home and test them at your leisure. More often than not there won't be any samples in which case you will have to spritz or dab some in the shop. I would suggest applying a little of each perfume to the inside of each wrist or 'pulse point'.
The key here is to give it time. As I've mentioned previously, fragrances change when they react to your body chemistry and the longer they are exposed to air, releasing first the top notes then, after ten or twenty minutes the heart or middle notes (the dominant character of the fragrance) followed by the base. This is when you start to get a better sense of what this fragrance is really like and what it would be like to wear throughout the day. You'll be amazed at how different some fragrances can seem from top notes to base. In fact I can't count the number of times I've smelt a particular perfume and been disappointed by its initial impressions only to love it as it has settled. As you will no doubt have realised by now, this is why you can really test and fully appreciate a perfume by a quick little smell in a perfume shop.
Hopefully out of this process you will have found yourself a wonderful new signature perfume. If not, well there are so many fragrances to choose from, you'll just have to keep on testing. After all, that's part of the fun isn't it?

I live in Northeast Ohio and I don't want all the hassle from having to ship frozen sperm to me. I'd like someone who lives close to be able to produce a sample because I plan on getting pregnant by artificial insemination. Has anyone known of a service that is free and local? Or if not, has anyone known of a service which ships vials of frozen sperm for free? I need all the answers I can get. Thanks!

Imagine how frustrating it is for a toddler when they can't reach the counter or the sink. By their very nature, small children want to practice independence and have the ability to perform tasks by themselves. If they are thirsty, they demand to fill their own cup with juice.
